When geek jokes go bad

More of a personal note than a well thought out article, but hey this is a blog after all. I need to bump the shite-o-meter up a bit.
Anyway, back to the point. Don't reference RFC 1149 to a group of non-techies. They won't find it funny. Similarly in response to said joke, your boss shouldn't then crack the "no comments for the RFC please". Again, the joke will not be funny.
